Ed wood is mentioned in the WINTER 2014 issue of TASCHEN MAGAZINE ( print and PDF editions ).

You can view the PDF edition on TASCHEN's website.

TASCHEN WEBSITE

The article is by Dian Hanson, and is a preview of a new book called PSYCHEDELIC SEX BOOK ( also by Dian Hanson ). I do NOT know how much space is devoted to Ed Wood.

For those that don't know, Mr. Wood also wrote dirty books, and sleazy stories for magazines.

DANGER 5: SEASON 2

I'm not sure if season two of DANGER 5 has started. However, the trailer has been uploaded to their YOU TUBE channel.

Season two looks even more outrageous than season one.

In my opinion, the two female cast members are kick-ass-cute AND dangerously-hot!

This show airs on a channel called SBS ( Australia ).

FYI: There's still NO region one season one DVD.... Come on! What's the problem?!

GUESS WHAT WE LEARNED IN SCHOOL TODAY? was a gutsy flick. It had a lot of taboo subject matter for a early seventies movie that played in so-called "mainstream" theaters.

I was a kid, the first time I saw this. If I remember correctly, it aired on a southern California tv station.

Most of the professional movie critics had a great time bashing it. Some of them accused the filmmakers of being immoral... Are you surprised? Most of those critics were a bunch of pussy-hypocrites.

GUESS WHAT WE LEARNED IN SCHOOL TODAY? was written by Eugene Price ( 1932 – 2001 ), and John G. Avildsen.

The movie was directed by John G. Avildsen.

It stars, Yvonne McCall, Zachary Haines, Jane MacLeod, Devin Goldenberg, Rosella Olsen, Richard Carballo ( 1934 – 1980 ), Diane Moore, Stanton Edgehill, Iris Brooks, and others.

Devin Goldenberg was also in SAVAGE WEEKEND.

Does anyone know what happened to Jane MacLeod, Rosella Olsen, Diane Moore, and other folks from this movie?

Rosella Olsen in GUESS WHAT WE LEARNED IN SCHOOL TODAY?

Rosella Olsen.... I thought she was wonderful in her role. I also thought she looked adorable. Is Rosella Olsen her real name?

Jane MacLeod in GUESS WHAT WE LEARNED IN SCHOOL TODAY?

Jane MacLeod.... Very sensuous, and I loved her performance. Is Jane MacLeod her real name?

Diane Moore in GUESS WHAT WE LEARNED IN SCHOOL TODAY?

Diane Moore... She did a great job in this flick. I think she was the "UP CHUCK CUP" lady in the I DISMEMBER MAMA / BLOOD SPLATTERED BRIDE trailer. Can anyone out there confirm this?... And is Diane Moore her real name?

Is this Diane Moore? ( trailer for I DISMEMBER MAMA / BLOOD SPLATTERED BRIDE )

I don't know if this movie had a legit VHS / BETA release in the United States.

However, it was released on region one DVD by MILL CREEK. It can be found in their TOP OF THE CLASS ( 12 movie collection ). It's presented in FULLscreen, and does not appear to be cut. This movie collection has three single sided discs ( four flicks per disc - they look and sound good ). I paid five dollars for it ( at WALMART ).

I don't know if any other region one companies released it on "pressed" disc.

There are also several grey-market DVDs out there.

Newspaper ad from LA OPINION ( Los Angeles California U.S.A. - March 1978 )

I love cinematic cheese!

Forget about all the bullshit that's happening in this world and take a mental vacation ( at least for a short time ).

Movies and tv shows are supposed to be entertainment, NOT a profound life changing experience! Do you really want a profound experience?!.... Then go take a shit in the forest during the height of winter!

Anyway, most "know-it-all" critics will tell you, this movie was never shown theatrically in the United States... BULLSHIT!... It DID play in theaters! Their opinions are NOT facts!

EXORCISMO was written by Jordi Gigo, Juan Bosch, and Paul Naschy ( 1934 - 2009 )

It was directed by Juan Bosch.

It stars, Paul Naschy, Maria Perschy ( 1938 - 2004 ), Maria Kosty, and Grace Mills.

It was released on VHS, but I don't remember by which company ( most likely an obscure label ).

"Pressed" region one discs have been released a few times. I think the best version was from the late BCI ( out of print ).

Fasten your seatbelts!... Cause, it's gonna be one helluva ride!

DOUBLE NICKELS is pure unapologetic escapism!... And what's wrong with that?!

This flick is for all the guys, and the women that put up with all their bullshit... ha-ha-ha.

Alright dudes, follow these five simple steps to maximize your viewing pleasure.....

1 - Step one, pop the DVD in the machine ( very important ).

2 - Now, pretend you're at the drive-in theater.

3 - Have your female buddy sit on your lap. Then ask her, if she'll let you squeeze her boobies when there are no car chases on screen.

4 - Drink root beer from frosty mugs. Then feed each other BBQ wings, and big-ass fries. NOTE: real beer may be substituted for root beer.

5 - Last, but not least... try to forget about anything that's bothering you.....

"Listen bub!... Root beer, BBQ wings, fries, and getting my titties groped, aren't my idea of a good time!"

DOUBLE NICKELS was written by Patrice Schubert and Jack Vacek.

It was directed by Jack Vacek.

The movie stars, Jack Vacek ( as Smokey ), Ed Abrams ( as Ed ), Patrice Schubert ( as Jordan ), Heidi Schubert ( as Tami ), and George Cole ( as George ).

I don't know if this was ever released on legit VHS.

However, DOUBLE NICKELS was released in at least three region one movie collections ( all of them by MILL CREEK ).

See list below.....

1 - FUEL-INJECTED FILMS ( 20 movie pack ). This collection has four single sided discs. DOUBLE NICKELS is presented in FULLscreen.

2 - It's also available in COLLISION COURSE ( 20 movie pack ). NOTE: FUEL-INJECTED FILMS and COLLISION COURSE contain the same movies!

3 - BURNT RUBBER ( 20 movie pack ), also has this movie. This set has been out of print for a long time.

I don't know if any other region one companies have released this film on "pressed" disc.

DOLLAR DVDS: PART ONE

PART ONE OF TWO

I MISS ONE DOLLAR DVDS!.....

When I use the term "dollar dvds", I'm NOT referring to all the "mainstream" company DVDs and BLU-RAYs that are DUMPED at chains like DOLLAR TREE. I'm talking about discs that were MADE TO SELL FOR ONE DOLLAR.

During the mid nineties, DVDs started showing up in stores that specialized in selling all their merchandise for ONE DOLLAR or LESS ( such as DOLLAR TREE and other chains ).

You could also find those discs at gas station marts, convenience stores, and even some grocery stores.

A short time later, they started showing up at big chain stores, like WALMART, KMART, and TARGET.

I remember buying FOUR double features for ONE DOLLAR during a "black friday" sale at TARGET. The double features were made by a company called PC TREASURES.

SOMETHING FOR ALMOST EVERYONE.....

It wasn't just movies. You'd also find television shows, cartoons, documentaries, and even exercise titles.

DVD cover and extras menu for LIP SERVICE ( aka OUT OF SYNC - starring Kari Wuhrer, Gail O'Grady, and Peter Outerbridge ). Made by PC TREASURES.

BONUS FEATURES.....

Are you fucking kidding me?!... What the fuck do you want for one dollar?!

Believe it or not - while at one of my local DOLLAR TREES - I heard a couple of MORONS complaining about the lack of extra features!... Truly ridiculous!

Some folks actually thought those companies would spend countless THOUSANDS of dollars, to make director / cast commentaries and bonus features for a disc that retails for ONE DOLLAR!... What a bunch of fucking RETARDS!

Just for the record, some companies like EAST WEST ENTERTAINMENT, and DIGIVIEW ENTERTAINMENT, would put trailers / preview clips on some of their discs.

FYI: PC TREASURES put some bios and a few other things on their LIP SERVICE DVD - this disc was a rare exception to the rule.

Cover of the BARE KNUCKLES / A DANGEROUS SUMMER double feature DVD ( from EAST WEST ENTERTAINMENT ). Screengrabs from an online trailer.

DUPLICATION AND RARE MOVIES.....

Many of the same public-domain movies were being sold by countless companies, and that hurt sales for almost everyone. The world does NOT need another DVD of NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD!

Screengrab of the EAST WEST ENTERTAINMENT website. It's been gone for a long time.....

A few companies like EAST WEST ENTERTAINMENT, had some RARE movies in their library. In fact, EAST WEST ENTERTAINMENT sold the only PRESSED disc of BARE KNUCKLES that I know of ( in the United States ).

I'm referring to the seventies action movie starring Robert Viharo and Sherry Jackson, and written / directed by Don Edmonds ( 1937 - 2009 ). In my opinion, it's one of the most underrated exploitation flicks of the seventies.

Not all of the movies those companies sold were public-domain. Some were released without legal permission. Within a few years, some companies started adding licensed titles to their libraries.

These nude scenes were CUT from GLOBAL's version of THE UNWELCOMED ( aka THE ARRIVAL ). Written by Kevin Daniel Ljoka. Directed by David Schmoeller. The film stars, Robin Frates, Robert Sampson, Joseph Culp, John Saxon, and others.

WHAT THE FUCK?!.....

Censorship was a problem with SOME of these companies. It seems like ALL of GLOBAL's releases and many of DIGIVIEW's discs were missing all the nudity and profanity.

GLOBAL's DVD cover for THE UNWELCOMED ( aka THE ARRIVAL ).

I found a copy of SATANIC RITES OF DRACULA - aka COUNT DRACULA AND HIS VAMPIRE BRIDE ( by DIGIVIEW ). All the nudity was intact.

DIGIVIEW had at least two different covers for this movie. Did the unedited version get released by mistake? Did the disc with the other cover contain the butchered version of the film?

Fortunately, you had companies like EAST WEST ENTERTAINMENT that sold their flicks "as is".

EAST WEST ENTERTAINMENT became my favorite DOLLAR DVD company. Unfortunately, their discs were always hard to find in my area.

EAST WEST ENTERTAINMENT's double feature of EATEN ALIVE and CRUCIBLE OF HORROR ( aka THE CORPSE ). EATEN ALIVE is presented in WIDEscreen and uncut. It even has the trailer included ( ahead of the movie ).

EATEN ALIVE was written by Alvin L. Fast, Mardi Rustam, and Kim Henkel.

Directed by Tobe Hooper.

The following people appear in this movie, Neville Brand ( 1920 – 1992 ), Marilyn Burns, Stuart Whitman, Mel Ferrer ( 1917 - 2008 ), and Robert Englund.

PART TWO OF THREE

WHAT HAPPENED TO THESE COMPANIES?.....

Most of these companies seemed to have disappeared for good. While a few others decided to travel "up-market".

FYI: Some of these businesses also made computer software and other things.

DIGIVIEW would occasionally reappear under different names. I don't know how many times they did this, or all the names they used.

EAST WEST ENTERTAINMENT started selling more expensive movie collections. But, they vanished soon after.

If I remember correctly, MILL CREEK used to sell double features for one dollar. I don't remember if they were sold in cardboard, or plastic.

Anyway, I miss those old TREE LINE - aka MILL CREEK - 50 and 100 movie packs. Remember them?... The collections that were packaged in a cardboard box and had a book style flap on the front. Most of those sets had films you couldn't get anywhere else ( the same is true of the new sets ).

Just for the record, I love MILL CREEK and POP FLIX / ALLEGRO. However, I'm NOT fond of ECHO BRIDGE, or TGG DIRECT. I only purchase those labels out of desperation ( when I can't find a certain movie anywhere else ).

And, I always avoid PACIFIC ENTERTAINMENT.

Covers for DREAMLAND, BAY OF LOVE AND SORROWS, AMNESIA, and PROPHET'S GAME ( by DIGIVIEW )

ARE THEY COMING BACK?.....

I don't think they are, and that's a shame.

Occasionally, I find "new" one dollar DVDs made by companies that I haven't encountered before. But, are they really new, or just unsold OLD stock?

At one of my local DOLLAR TREEs, I found a "new" series of discs with generic outer packaging. The discs are inside cardboard folders that have peg-holes cut into the top. I don't know if these are new to the market or leftovers from years past. I never saw them before - so they're "new" to me.

Cover for Bob Hope double feature. Made by ALLEGRO, but sold under the name SILVER SCREEN GEMS.

The "fine print" reveals ALLEGRO as the company responsible. However, their name is NOT prominently displayed on the cover, or inside, or the back.

The movies have a small circle on the cover, with "SILVER SCREEN GEMS" written in it. Meanwhile, the tv shows have the same circle, but with "TV's GREATEST HITS" written on it.

I would love to see ALLERGO / POP FLIX start selling their Italian crime movies, and Sonny Chiba flicks this way.

Covers of MONSTER MASH and HAUNTED NIGHTS double features by ALLEGRO / POP FLIX.

POP FLIX / ALLEGRO also sold old horror flicks in plastic slimline cases. These days, they are better known for their low priced multi-movie collections.

I've also seen other discs made by labels I've never encountered before. But, I can NOT remember the names of those companies. Most of those titles were MICRO-BUDGET horror flicks ( made from the mid-eighties onwards ). They were all housed in plastic slimline cases.

WHERE TO FIND THEM NOW.....

Local flea-markets, are one of the few places you can still find factory sealed copies of "dollar dvds".

On rare occasions, you may find leftovers at some "dollar stores".

FYI: Some wholesalers still have sealed cases full of them!... But, they don't sell to the general public.

You can also find used copies at the follwing stores, MOVIE STOP, GOODWILL, and SALVATION ARMY.

Don't forget about garage sales, or FUCKING AMAZON, and FUCKING EBAY.

A while ago, WALMART had ninety-six cent DVDs made by TGG DIRECT ( during a recent "black friday" ). Those discs were packaged in HOT WHEELS style blister packs... Who's fucking brilliant idea was that?.....

Screengrabs from JESSE JAMES MEETS FRANKENSTEIN'S DAUGHTER from POP FLIX / ALLEGRO. I watched this movie in the theater and on television countless times. It was a childhood favorite. Jim Davis ( 1909 – 1981 ), also appears in it. Most folks remember him as Jock Ewing ( from the nighttime soap DALLAS ).

PART THREE OF THREE

A SHORT RANT.....

I've read - and seen - news reports referring to chains like DOLLAR GENERAL, FAMILY DOLLAR, and similar chains, as "DOLLAR STORES".

Those chains are NOT dollar stores!... I repeat, they are NOT dollar stores!... Dollar stores sell EVERYTHING for ONE DOLLAR OR LESS!.... That's why they're called DOLLAR STORES!

Screengrabs from THRILL SEEKERS ( aka THE TIME SHIFTERS ), by DIGIVIEW

You rarely find any true bargains at DOLLAR GENERAL or FAMILY DOLLAR. The last time I walked into one of those stores, they had USED DVDs for SIX DOLLARS each! How the hell does that qualify as a bargain?!

DOLLAR TREE is a TRUE dollar store!

FYI: A few years ago, one of my local BIG LOTS had some "dollar dvds" for THREE dollars each! The discs were from PC TREASURES. Just for the record, I stopped shopping at BIG LOTS.

Screengrabs from SOMEONE IS WATCHING from DIGIVIEW. Stefanie Powers and Margot Kidder appear in this flick.

THE LIST.....

Here's a SHORT list of DOLLAR DVD companies.

All of the following labels were sold for one dollar in my area. I've been told, some of these brands were sold for higher prices in other parts of the United States.

I repeat, this list only represents the companies that I have found locally.

The companies are listed in random order.....

Cover for MOONSTALKER ( aka CAMPER STAMPER ) by GLOBAL

GLOBAL MULTIMEDIA CORPORATION - Discs were sold in cardboard folders with peg-holes cut into the top. DVD fits into a pocket ( inside the left half of the folder ).

Cover and screengrabs from THRILL SEEKERS ( aka THE TIME SHIFTERS ), by DIGIVIEW

Cover and screengrabs for SOMEONE IS WATCHING from DIGIVIEW

DIGIVIEW ENTERTAINMENT / BUDGET ENTERTAINMENT / TUTUM ENTERTAINMET - Their discs were sold in plastic slimline cases.

Cover and screengrabs for EL BURRITO DE NAVIDAD Y OTROS CUENTOS, aka THE LITTLE CHRISTMAS BURRO AND OTHER STORIES, from BUDGET ENTERTAINMENT ( aka DIGIVIEW ENTERTAINMENT ). There are a total of FOUR features on this disc, and extremely short preview clips. Plus, Spanish and English audio. That's A LOT for a buck!

Screengrabs from EL BURRITO DE NAVIDAD Y OTROS CUENTOS, aka THE LITTLE CHRISTMAS BURRO AND OTHER STORIES ( BUDGET ENT / DIGIVIEW ENT )

As I've said before, after DIGIVIEW disappeared, they came back under various other names. One of those labels was BUDGET ENTERTAINMET ( the "fine print" reveals it ). I'm almost positive TUTUM ENTERTAINMENT was another. But, I can not find my TUTUM discs, so I can't verify it as fact. I don't know if any other names were used.

Covers for MAN WITH THE GOLDEN ARM / SUDDENLY, and THE WILD RIDE / THE VIOLENT YEARS double features by PC TREASURES

PC TREASURES - Discs were sold in plastic slimline cases.

Cover and screengrabs from DRAGNET three episode pack ( 1950s version ), from TELEVISION CLASSICS ( aka GENIUS ENTERTAINMENT )

Covers for MOON OF THE WOLF / PRISONER IN THE MIDDLE and ABILENE TOWN / TRAPPED double features from TELEVISION CLASSICS ( aka GENIUS ENTERTAINMENT )

GENIUS ENTERTAINMENT / MOVIE CLASSICS / TELEVISION CLASSICS - Discs were sold in cardboard envelopes with a flap on the right side. Later on, they started selling them in plastic slimline cases.

Cover and screengrabs for WAR OF THE MONSTERS / GAMERA VS MONSTER X double feature ( by EAST WEST ENTERTAINMENT ). In regards to video quality, this was NOT one of their better releases. The disc also has a EAST WEST ENTERTAINMENT mini catalog ( in slideshow form ).

EAST WEST ENTERTAINMENT - Discs were sold in plastic slimline cases. It was my favorite "dollar dvd" company.

Cover of BODY COUNT by PHASE 4 FILMS. All the nudity, bad words, and violence are still there.

PHASE 4 FILMS - Discs were packaged in thick cardboard envelopes with a slot on top.

Covers for WRONG NUMBER and VICTIM OF BEAUTY from KREATIVE

KREATIVE DIGITAL ENTERTAINMENT - Their discs were sold in cardboard envelopes with a slot on the right side.

Cover for LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS / THE TERROR double feature, from FAMILY VALUE COLLECTION

FAMILY VALUE COLLECTION / TREASURE BOX COLLECTION - I think their discs were sold in glossy carboard folders, but I can't remember for certain ( I no longer have any of them ). They also sold them in plastic slimline cases.

Front and back of THE THREE STOOGES and THE LITTLE RASCALS DVDs from TGG

TGG DIRECT - Discs were sold in flat blister packs ( same way they sell HOT WHEELS ). They also packaged some discs in "dome" shaped blister packs ( resembling Christmas tree ornaments ).

Cover and screengrabs from JESSE JAMES MEETS FRANKENSTEIN'S DAUGHTER / THE MONSTER MAKER double feature from POP FLIX / ALLEGRO

POP FLIX / ALLEGRO / SILVER SCREEN GEMS / TV's GREATEST HITS - Discs were sold in slimline plastic cases. They also sold them in generic style cardboard folders with peg-holes cut into the top ( just like the folders used by GLOBAL ).

ST. CLAIR VISION - Discs were sold in plastic slimline cases. They also sold more expensive multi-movie collections. I no longer have any of their discs.

DOLLAR DVD - Discs were sold in thin cardboard envelopes with a slot on the right side. They named their company DOLLAR DVD... Gee, how clever ( I'm being sarcastic ). I no longer have any of their discs.

There are numerous other brands that I can NOT remember.

I hope these DVDs make a comeback. The time is right for them to return.

MOVIE ADS: THE MYSTERIOUS MONSTERS

I loved watching this - and THE LEGEND OF BOGGY CREEK - when I was young.

MYSTERIOUS MONSTERS was one of many alleged documentaries that were released during the seventies.

Just appreciate it as entertainment, and enjoy yourself. Far too many idiots over analyze everything!

I saw MYSTERIOUS MONSTERS at one of my local theaters. I almost choked on my popcorn when a woman seated in front of me, yelled ( out of fear ). What a wimp!

I'm not sure, but I think MYSTERIOUS MONSTERS was also shown on local tv channels across the United States.

Peter Graves ( 1926 – 2010 ) is the narrator of this film. He had such an authoritative voice.

I don't know if MYSTERIOUS MONSTERS ever had a legit VHS release, but I do remember bootleg tapes being sold at local "swap-meets".

The only region one DVD that I know of, is sold by CHEEZY FLICKS. I do NOT own this disc, so I can't tell you if it's worth buying. I've read a lot of bad things about them. I've also read many good things about this company, so... caveat emptor!

You can also watch it online for free ( from different sources ).

THE WOMEN OF LOGAN'S RUN: PART ONE

PART ONE OF THREE

Even when LOGAN'S RUN was new, the special effects already looked dated. That has always been a big problem with movies that use tons of special effects. Having said that, I did NOT care how dated the effects were. As far as I was concerned, it only added to the film's charm.

I loved watching this movie in the theater, then on cable, then on CBS, and then on VHS... And now, on DVD.

I had the LOGAN'S RUN novel. I also had a pressbook, 8x10 stills, and one version of the theatrical poster. All of those items have long disappeared.

A negative newspaper review of LOGAN'S RUN.

This movie was shown all over the world, and it also had countless home video releases ( on almost all formats ).

After all this time, I think it's safe to say, that LOGAN'S RUN had the LAST LAUGH.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, who the hell remembers the critics?!

Just for the record, this movie always had a following. These days, LOGAN'S RUN is more popular than ever.

I'm going to focus my attention on three actresses, Jenny Agutter, Farrah Fawcett ( 1947 – 2009 ), and Candice Rialson ( 1951 – 2006 ). All of them appeared in LOGAN'S RUN.

I'm also going to focus on the MOVIE version of LOGAN'S RUN... NOT the television series.

Candice Rialson in LOGAN'S RUN

Ms. Rialson's appearance in LOGAN'S RUN is extremely brief.

FYI: You can get a better view of her in the FULLscreen version.

Candice Rialson in LOGAN'S RUN

I still remember her appearance on MAUDE. She was only on screen for a few minutes, but that was better than nothing.

Candice Rialson in MAUDE ( episode: CONSENTING ADULTS )

HOLLYWOOD BOULEVARD is one of Ms. Rialson's better known films. It's also one of my personal favorites. She gets A LOT of screen time in this flick.

Ms. Rialson in HOLLYWOOD BOULEVARD

Some of her other movies are... PETS, CANDY STRIPE NURSES, MAMA'S DIRTY GIRLS, SUMMER SCHOOL TEACHERS, CHATTERBOX!, STUNTS, and MOONSHINE COUNTY EXPRESS.

At least half of Ms. Rialson's movies have been released on legit VHS, and region one DVD. Some are harder to find than others. There are also gray-market discs of her rare movies. You may also be able to find some of her films online.

THE WOMEN OF LOGAN'S RUN: PART TWO

PART TWO OF THREE

If I remember correctly, Ms. Fawcett appears twice in LOGAN'S RUN.

I'm NOT going to lie, and say she was one of my favorite actresses, because she wasn't. I thought she was ok.

It's NOT her fault that the idiots in the so-called "mainstream" media saturated the airwaves with any bit of minutia they could dig up about her. All the non-stop hype seemed to have a negative effect on her career.

Farrah Fawcett in LOGAN'S RUN

Understand this, I did NOT dislike her. As I said before, the fucking "mainstream" media didn't know when to stop talking about Ms. Fawcett. Because of that, most of the public became sick of hearing about her.

I remember when she died, a lot of mentally unstable internet-trolls, started posting some incredibly VILE things about her on message boards ( mostly horror websites ). What does that tell you about their mentality? Karma truly is a bitch, and it will all come back to them.

Just for the record, I think she became a better actress as time went on.

I was a little bored by SATURN 3, but I did not hate it.

Farrah Fawcett in SATURN 3

Unless you've been living under a rock, you know Ms. Fawcett was one of the stars of CHARLIE'S ANGELS.

She appeared in a lot of other tv shows. Such as, I DREAM OF JEANNIE, THE FLYING NUN, McCLOUD, MARCUS WELBY M.D., HARRY O, and THE SIX MILLION DOLLAR MAN.

Ms. Fawcett was also in made-for-tv-movies. Such as, MURDER IN TEXAS, and DALVA.

Region one DVD covers for DALVA. It was released at least two times by ECHO BRIDGE.

During one scene in DALVA, Farrah comes out of the water, and she is soaking wet. As a result, her clothes become transparent. I've got to admit, I thought she looked really great in that scene. DALVA is pure "chick-flick", but I kept watching anyway.

Farrah Fawcett on the DATING GAME

Farrah Fawcett in MURDER ON FLIGHT 502

MURDER ON FLIGHT 502 is one of the most popular made-for-tv-movies ever made, and it's extremely easy to find on home video.

Some of her theatrical flicks include, EXTREMITIES, THE CANNONBALL RUN, and DR. T AND THE WOMEN.

I don't know how much of Ms. Fawcett's work has been released on VHS and region one DVD.

PART THREE OF THREE

If there was ever a woman that deserved to be described as angelically-beautiful, it was Jenny Agutter. And yes, I know that every person on earth has a different definition of beauty.

Jenny Agutter in LOGAN'S RUN

While watching LOGAN'S RUN, my youthful mind ran wild with unwholesome thoughts. I loved the way she looked in that transparent mini-dress. All the female cast members wore them.

Jenny Agutter in LOGAN'S RUN

During the "ice cave" scene she took off that little dress, and I was mesmerized, and I stayed that way for the rest of the week.

When I was younger, it was normal for PG rated flicks to have nudity in them.

FYI: I'm almost positive she was wearing a "modesty patch" during that scene.

Jenny Agutter in SWEET WILLIAM ( top ), and THE RIDDLE OF THE SANDS ( bottom )

Ms. Agutter dosen't spend a lot of time in THE RIDDLE OF THE SANDS.

I think she did a great job in SWEET WILLIAM, and she looks incredibly cute.

I thought EQUUS was a memorable film.

Jenny Agutter in EQUUS

I also liked watching her in THE EAGLE HAS LANDED, DOMINIQUE, AN AMERICAN WEREWOLF IN LONDON, THE SURVIVOR, CHILD'S PLAY 2, and a rare movie called DARK TOWER.

I think she's appeared in at least two comic book based flicks. THE AVENGERS and CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER, but I can NOT confirm this, since I've never seen those movies ( and not everything on the IMDB is true ).

CHINA 9, LIBERTY 37 - Is one of my favorite Jenny Agutter films, and I think it's really underrated.

It's been butchered countless times, and in countless ways.

What happened to this movie, is a cinematic crime!

Good luck trying to find an uncut version of this movie on region one DVD!

I've only seen it uncut twice. Once on cable tv ( a long time ago ), and once online.

I'm NOT going to get my hopes up, waiting for a restored version to hit DVD.

Jenny Agutter in MAGNUM P.I. ( episode: LITTLE GAMES )

Ms. Agutter has done a lot of television work.

Jenny Agutter in MAGNUM P.I. ( episode: LITTLE GAMES )

I still remember her episode of MAGNUM. I couldn't get my eyes off of her as she rode a horse like Lady Godiva - unfortunately for me, she was clothed... ha-ha-ha.

It was fun to watch her play an astronaut on THE SIX MILLION DOLLAR MAN.

As I write this, she's still working. I saw her in an English show called CALL THE MIDWIFE ( it airs on PBS ).

Ms. Agutter has had a long career. She even performed on BROADWAY.

Most of Ms. Agutter's work has been released on legit VHS, and region one DVD. However, there still might be a few that are not for sale, or only available in "cut" form.

As you know, LOGAN'S RUN has a dark storyline, and in my opinion, it should have been even darker - more nudity, more violence, and more paranoia.

Maybe it was darker... I've been told repeatedly, that LOGAN'S RUN had much more violence and nudity in it. It was allegedly CUT, and that footage is now "lost".

I've also been told that it was originally going to be rated R. Can anyone out there confirm this with facts?

So who cut it?... The studio?... The filmmakers?

LOGAN'S RUN was released on legit VHS by MGM.

It was also released on region one DVD countless times by WARNER BORS. The old "snapper" case with poster art, is my favorite.

ROBOTS GONE WILD: TARGET EARTH

$

TARGET EARTH is a somewhat rare movie, and I'm fond of it.

Some of my favorite cinematic robots appear in this flick.

The following people appear in this film, Richard Denning, Kathleen Crowley, Virginia Grey, Richard Reeves and others.

Paul W. Fairman, Wyott Ordung, James H. Nicholson, and William Raynor all get writing credit.

It was directed by Sherman A. Rose ( 1915 - 1986 ).

I don't think there are any model kits of these robots ( I've searched without success ).

As for other memorabilia, approximately ten years ago I found a low priced poster. I did NOT buy it. Why?... Because it was filthy and rotten. It also had a horrible odor!

I've wanted to add TARGET EARTH to my movie library for a very long time.

I know it was sold on VHS, because I owned it on tape. However, I do NOT remember who released it.

A region zero DVD was put out by VCI ENTERTAINMENT. I think it's OUT-OF-PRINT, and I am NOT going to pay a lot of money for a fucking DVD. Nor, will I shell-out for a grey-market DVD-R. The only cheap used copy I found, had a CRACK - starting at the center hole... You know as well as I do, that crack is only going to get bigger ( like a small crack on your car's windshield ).

I don't think any other company has released TARGET EARTH on region one, or region zero, NTSC DVD.

Anyway, I found it online and have watched it three or four times. It was a bit blurry, but at least I got to watch it again. It was also free, which is the ONLY price I'm willing to pay to watch a movie online!

FIEND WITHOUT A FACE

FIEND WITHOUT A FACE scared the crap out of me when I was very young. And yet, I would watch this flick every time it aired!

The creatures are fifty percent brain, fifty percent slug, and one hundred percent disgusting!

The movie was written by, Amelia Reynolds Long ( 1904 – 1978 ), and Herbert J. Leder ( 1922 – 1983 ).

It was directed by Arthur Crabtree ( 1900 – 1975 ).

Two of the stars are, Marshall Thompson ( 1925 – 1992 ), and the cute Kim Parker.

I love the stop-motion used in this film, and I also love the brain killing scenes. It sounds like farts, when they spill their guts.

The only cheesecake we get, is from the lead actress Kim Parker, who comes out of the shower with a towel on... hey, it's better than nothing! I have not been able to find out much about her.

I'm almost positive this movie was released several times on legit VHS. Unfortunately, I can not remember the names of the companies responsible.

The only region one DVD that I know of, is the overpriced disc put out by CRITERION.

FYI: I watched it online - via YOUTUBE.

ROBOTS GONE WILD: GOG

This is the story of two fun-loving robots and a computer that just wanna have fun. Almost forgot to mention, these mechanical misfits also like to kill...

Love these robots. GOG is not one of my favorite robot flicks. However, I still think it's worth watching.

Written by Ivan Tors ( 1916 – 1983 ), Tom Taggart, and Richard G. Taylor.

Directed by Herbert L. Strock ( 1918 - 2005 ).

The human stars are, Richard Egan ( 1921 – 1987 ), Constance Dowling ( 1920 - 1969 ), and others.

I don't think GOG ever had a legit VHS release ( at least not here in the U.S.A. ).

As far as I know, GOG has never been released on a "pressed" region one disc.

An official DVD-R has been released by MGM. I do NOT own one, so I can't give you any details.

ALL AMERICAN GIRL is a rare flick. It's also a sleazy fun film, and there's nothing wrong with that!

It's been at least two years since I last saw it ( I can't find my DVD-R ). I hope it gets released on region one "pressed" disc. But, I don't think that will happen anytime soon.

ALL AMERICAN GIRL was written and directed by Mark Haggard.

It stars Peggy Church, and others.

I think Ms. Church handed-in a good performance. I also thought she was cute and sexy.

So what happened to her?

Was Peggy Church her real name?

I know it was on VHS, but I can't remember if it was a bootleg tape.

As I write this, the movie is no longer in print - at least not in the United States ( don't know about other places ).

It used to be available via SOMETHING WEIRD ( on DVD-R ). Just for the record, I no longer purchase or support SOMETHING WEIRD products... and that's all I'm going to say about that subject.....

WHATEVER HAPPENED TO PATRICIA WYMER?

I really liked this woman, and I had a big childhood crush on her. Especially after I saw Ms. Wymer in THE YOUNG GRADUATES.

I also enjoyed this movie when I was young, and still do.

Would it be accurate, to describe THE YOUNG GRADUATES as the WONDER YEARS on acid?.... No it wouldn't, but that would be very interesting to see.

I think THE YOUNG GRADUATES should be described as the cinematic equivalent of a vintage sleazy novel, and I mean that in the best way possible!

Here's a list of some of this movie's contents...

Students that possess the intelligence of carrots and baked potatoes.

An unethical relationship between a teacher and student ( he's married and she just turned 18 ).

A cool looking Meyers Manx.

A stupid fist fight.

A skinny-dipping scene with very little skin from Ms. Wymer.

A short but wild road trip.

Pissed-off bikers.

Capitalistic hippies with drugs.

A shower scene involving Terri Johnson ( a very nice bonus ).

And last, but not least, an alcoholic drink thrown at someone's face, and the extremely over dramatic reaction that follows ( I couldn't stop laughing ).

THE YOUNG GRADUATES was released on region one DVD many tiimes, by BCI and MILL CREEK.

Another Wymer flick is called THE BABYSITTER.

I don't like this movie as much as THE YOUNG GRADUATES. But she's the star, and that means, more screen time for Ms. Wymer... Plus, she shows a lot of skin.

So what's the movie about?... Well, the title should tell you a lot.

Lets go into the cinematic-kitchen and make ourselves a snack... First, add an out-of-shape older man that has an affair with his babysitter. Then add some blackmail, Sappho-shenanigans, and even a spicy taco eating scene. All good ingredients for a great tasting cheesy-sleazy delight. Well, it makes me happy, and that's all that matters.

THE BABYSITTER has been released several times on region one DVD, by BCI, MILL CREEK, and CODE RED.

I saw her for a third time in the supernatural flick called THE WITCHMAKER.

This movie is also known as THE LEGEND OF WITCH HOLLOW.

Ms. Wymer's role is small, but you'll remember her.

Larry Vincent also makes an appearance in this film.

I don't think this movie was available on "pressed" disc, until CODE RED released it.

Unfortunately, it appears that WITCHMAKER aka LEGEND OF WITCH HOLLOW is out-of-print.

The only other release that I know of, is on DVD-R. It's from a company called SINISTER CINEMA.

Supposedly, she appeared in a made-for-tv musical special called WHERE THE GIRLS ARE. I've never met anyone who has seen it.

According to the IMDB, Ms. Wymer appeared in a tv show called MALIBU U.

The show aired on ABC.

I can NOT find any record of MALIBU U having ever been released on VHS, or region one DVD... In fact, I can't even find it on grey-market DVD-R.

Fortunately, I found a few online videos.

Screengrabs of Patricia Wymer in MALIBU U... Can anyone confirm that this is indeed Ms. Wymer?... I made these screengrabs from a poor quality YOUTUBE video.

She only seems to have a handful of credits listed on the IMDB... There must be more.

I can't find very much information about her.

Did she write, or produce?

Did she model for men's magazines?... I think I may have seen her in a couple of old publications, but I'm NOT certain.

Did she perform a strip act, or do XXX work?

Is she still alive?.....

Newspaper ad for STAR TREK ( from Spokane washington U.S.A. - Feb. 16, 1968 ).

I was NOT a big fan of STAR TREK during my youth. But, I would still watch it, and I actually liked some of the episodes. STAR TREK did some gutsy things. Such as, occasionally tackling subject matter, that most shows of the era wouldn't touch with a ten foot pole.

I've never understood the appeal of William Shatner. I've always felt ambivalent towards him.

However, I did like Leonard Nimoy ( 1931 – 2015 ). He did a lot of different things - writing, photography, and more.

He also had a long career.

Mr. Nimoy did A LOT of tv shows, and also appeared in theatrical films. I really liked watching his character in the 1978 version of INVASION OF THE BODY SNATCHERS.

Mr. Nimoy will be missed by many.....

QUOTES BELOW ARE FROM THE NASA WEBSTIE ( February 27, 2015 ).....

NASA WEBSITE

"NASA is mourning the passing today of actor Leonard Nimoy, most famous for his role as Star Trek's Vulcan science officer Mr. Spock. The sci-fi classic served as an inspiration for many at NASA over the years, and Nimoy joined other cast members at special NASA events, including the 1976 rollout of the shuttle Enterprise, named for the show's iconic spacecraft"

I haven't seen this movie in ages. It's been so long, I don't even remember if I liked it.

Jesie St. James, Desiree Cousteau, and Georgina Spelvin, appear in this film.

It was written by Jack Livingston , and directed by Anthony Spinelli ( 1927 - 2000 ).

I'm sure it was released on VHS. But, I don't remember if it was a legit tape.

As for region one DVD, a company called CAL VISTA released it. I do NOT own a copy, so I can not tell you if it's worth owning. I also don't know if any other company has released it.
