WARNING, rant ahead.....
Let me make one thing perfectly clear, I feel bad for the now ex-employees of Eli Roth's GORETORIUM.
QUOTE from the LAS VEGAS SUN ( July 24, 2013 )
"Los Angeles-based design firm Creative Uprising filed suit June 26 in Los Angeles County Superior Court complaining that it had not been paid for some of its work on Goretorium’s website design, branding and other general creative services"
QUOTE from the LAS VEGAS SUN ( Sept. 30, 2013 )
"the embattled business, which filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in July, will shut down Oct. 2"
QUOTE from DEADLINE HOLLYWOOD ( October 1, 2013 )
"Eli Roth's $10 million haunted house attraction is closing its doors this week, just a year after it first opened up shop on the Vegas strip"
I didn't know GORETORIUM existed, and even if I had known, I wouldn't have cared.
I like horror films ( mostly older ones ), but I'm NOT a horror fanatic.
During the last five years, I've become increasingly apathetic towards horror.
Just for the record, I don't like Eli Roth, or his groupies. As with Tarantino, I think he is one of the most OVER HYPED individuals in HollyWEIRD.
I've been told that a few big horror websites, shamelessly kissed Mr. Roth's ass and promoted this attraction. I wonder if they're giving it's closure the same amount of attention... probably not.
Maybe I'm expecting too much from folks that wouldn't think twice about paying twenty fucking dollars, just to have their picture taken with some glorified extra from THE WALKING DEAD.
SHAM-goria magazine, Famous SHILLS of filmland magazine, and WHORE-er hound magazine, deserve to suffer the same fate as GORETORIUM.
